I really liked how Foer incorporated the various illustrations and photographs to make this novel not your typical read. I loved the character of Oskar and could relate to so much of him and how many of us have felt post 9/11, feeling somewhat insecure about our safety and seeking answers in our own way i.e. his search for what the key unlocked. I personally loved his need to contact Stephen Hawkings, that made me chuckle on various occasions. Overall, I feel that it is a must read, it was really hard for me to put it down I would just get so absorbed.
