This fast moving novel is certainly unique, but was just a bit too unusual to me. All characters have unique names including the pets. The pace of this story is super fast; even a pregnancy flies by. What does give this story value is its pursuit of the question, what really is love? Issues of love are presented as they relate to a failed marriage, parent-child who are separated by a continent, gay and hetero relationships, and more. Echoing this theme is the question, what makes up a true family? It moved too quickly and too lightly thru these heavy subjects for me, but would appeal to those who like quirky situations. Lots of sexual talk.
