it was amazing

Wonderful book, both for the personal observations by the author and for his seamless inclusion of fascinating history and geography lessons, often in the form of quotations from John Muir, Thoreau and previous adventurers in the four "blank spots" Stark explored. The spots he chose are chunks of western Pennsylvania, northern Maine, southeastern Oregon and southwestern New Mexico.
