I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As of this moment, I've not seen the movie. However, I'm quite taken with Britain and British history.

This book, in my humble opinion, doesn't lag or make your eyes glaze over. I think the insertion of personal letters, descriptions of conversations as well as straight historical information was fascinating from beginning to end. Even if you already know a bit of British history, it's still quite interesting to read about the life of a king of England and his struggles and eventual overcoming of an embarrassing stammer.

I would recommend anyone interested in history, British history, non-fiction (or even if you just like to plain read) to pick up this book.
