really liked it

This book seems to be the first of its kind in the long chain of "innocent child turns out to be psychopathic murderer" although technically, I think she was a sociopath. Anyway, the book is really good and it even has this strange untone of repressed homosexuality. Parallel to the story of the mother hoping beyond hope that her daughter was not the reason behind all this destruction, there is a fabulous gay man making a statement on the status of homosexuality. Its weird, but perhaps a closer reading would help dissolve the issue. It wasn't the best I've ever read, but it was definitely good. It was one of those books that read very quickly and was interesting enough to keep my attention. Don't watch the movie though, its old and dated.
