Linda’s been murdered and to make matters worse, her body is missing. So she does what any self-respecting ghost does: she hires a private investigator to solve the mystery. Of course, the truth is never that simple and everyone has something to hide. This is one of the quirkiest books I’ve ever read, and I mean that in the best of ways. Flipping back and forth between different characters’ point of view is not an easy challenge, and most writers fail miserably at it, but Kramer pulls it off with great results. There is a fair bit of swearing, but it fits the story and characters. If you like dark humour, sarcastic wit and a lot of irreverent attitude, I recommend this quick read. Be warned: you will laugh out loud.
