it was amazing

I loved this book. It's a story about the notorious Sisters brothers, paid assasins back in the days of the gold rush. Told from the POV of Eli Sisters, the younger brother "a killer with the soul of a poet", the language is both archaic and hipster at the same time, if that makes any sense. I avoided this book for a while because I read it had cruelty to horses in it, and I can't handle that ("Water for Elephants" made me cry several times). But this is a book that many people would enjoy, I think. Excellent character studies of the brothers and the various men and women they meet on their route. Highly recommend.
