I never buy books from Walmart. I'd rather buy from a bookstore, but walking through Walmart the other day this book cover caught my eye. After reading and enjoying both Cain and Lamb this year, I decided I needed to buy this book right away. While not perfect, I don't think its the mindless action story some have made it out to be. Yes, the action is great. The fighting is violent. The deaths are gory. There is some depth in this story as well. One thing that bugged me was a small error calling sarah the mother of Isaac and Ishmael. I loved most of the characters. Herod matched how I always pictured him from my readings of the Bible. Makes me want to see what other books are in this biblical fiction genre as I have enjoyed all three books I've read thus far.
