I listened to this for my Book Club. Jacqueline came off looking very naive and catty in my opinion. She worshiped her husband to be sure and spoke poorly of nearly everyone else. She was definitely a product of her times, stating that women should only mirror the opinions of their husbands and decrying any woman in a powerful position. She was also so naive about her husband's lack of faithfulness. She said repeatedly how thoughtful he was to often send her away on vacations so she could get away and rest. I find it amazing that she never suspected anything on his part. I didn't really have an opinion of her one way or another before listening to this recorded conversation; after it, I have to say I don't find her likable at all.
