it was amazing

I was a teenager when Jack was president and even though my parents were staunch Republicans, I loved President Kennedy and his wife and children. They were real people. The book lets the reader in to a LOT of happenings that we, as civilians had no way of knowing. For instance, I didn't know he was in so much pain all the time. He was very strong to have hidden that pain from his face.

The end says that people who were alive when he was killed can all remember where they were when they heard he'd been shot. I remember. I was walking out of class at Western Washington State College (now Western University) in Bellingham, and I cried all the way back to my apartment. It was horrific. The book is well done with lots of facts that I'm happy to know now, that I could not have known then.
