Read in October, 2011

it was pretty good, i read it awhile back, about 6 months ago, and i dont remember much, but i remember liking the plot

it is about leigh botts, a boy who is in LOVE with an author. he writes letters to him 24/7, and in the end, he gets to meet a famous author and guess who it is? not mr. henshaw, but another good author.

i dont remember much about that book, so if im wrong, please correct me

i think this is a great story for children aged 8+, even 7 yrs. old if they can read very well

this book, anybody could read because it is appropriate for a lot of age levels. adults might find it very short and boring, but that is only because it is meant for children, and adult readers have read much better books, i'm sure of it!!

overall, i give this a 3 because i liked the plot, but i didnt like how most of it was just letters to mr. henshaw! maybe beverly cleary could have added more "meat" to the story, because right now, its just a burger with lettuce and tomatoes on it!

well written, i have read better things by her, but it was a good book for, like i said, age groups 7-9/10. it depends what the child likes to read as a genre, but this was very nice.

good job beverly!!
