really liked it
bookshelves: manga

This manga is based loosely off the Chinese novel 'Journey to the West', which I think is part of the main reasons I liked it so much. I liked the interaction between the main characters and their attitudes. They were all so different from each other that it just worked. It also has some pretty bad ass drawing.

I believe this series was my first step into the genre of manga that wasn't shoujo manga(meaning not full of girly stuff and cute bishies). I'm glad I took the step because it's a good one. (I should go read that Chinese novel now if I can find a copy in English...hmm)
