it was amazing

a black man's tribute to his white mother... really. she was a white, jewish woman who had twelve children by two black men, raised them basically by herself, and founded a church in the meantime. there are some very funny scenes when james worries that his mother will be killed by black panthers, and recounts her terrible singing in church, but is mainly an inspirational novel.
