Having been a Fancy Nancy fan for years I was super excited to see that there was a Fancy Nancy Chapter Book. Miss. Nancy is a bit older now and the fancy vocabulary is still something she strives to add in her everyday conversations. The only thing I didn't love about this book was the loss of Nancy's more innocent ways, like always seeing the best in everyone's personality. Example: The neighbor girl is acting strange and Nancy overhears something that doesn't make since. Right away Nancy jumps to the conclusion that the neighbor girl is trying to lure her into a trap where she will most surely die. Playing detective must have made her a bit paranoid. Hopefully in book two Fancy Nancy will have moved on to a different career path that cause less paranoia.
