This is a wonderful book. I love the way Briony thinks, and the way her mind raes, jusst like mine, although I do not have the second site as she does. This story has colorful and creative characters like Muckey fave and the brownie, as well as people of various types all interacting together. The Old Ones are being pushed out of a society comming into the modern era of motorcars, trains and metal. We learn of Dark muses, and see thru Briony's eyes the hardships they inflict on people. Poor Briony is forced to believe she is wicked, when anyone reading knows better. The twists and turns in the plot, more in the second half of the book than the first, will keep the reader engaged in this world and with these characters. I wish there was a Chime 2.. but I'm just happy to have gotten the chance to read Chime. This is a wonderful story, with a little romance thrown in as well. I love this book! I encourage anyone to read it!

I recieved this book in a contest. I was not paid for my review good or bad.
