I love to travel and love to read about other people's travel adventures. Eloisa James, a Shakespeare professor on sabbatical, moves her family to Paris for a year. Paris in Love chronicles the family adventure as Eloisa and her husband explore the city and enjoy life with fewer domestic chores and work demands. Their children, 11 year old Anna and 15 year old Luca, struggle with school in a foreign language. James writes in short diary-like entries about her observations of fashion, food, and the buzz of the City of Light. More than just a travel memoir, James' witty recollections of her husband, children, and an overweight dog named Milo offers readers a glimpse of both domestic bliss and frustration. These family stories, I especially loved any comments or discussions related to her daughter, are what make the book so fun and entertaining.
