I really like Mary Higgins Clark and she is a fine writer. However, the past several years as she's gotten older she's also gotten into a rut. It feels as if she changes the names and a few details, but basically is writing the same book again and again. Right from the get-go you know who the culprit is because it's always the same person. It's hard to feel excited about a mystery that has no surprises in it.
