Another beautiful book by Daniel Coleman. This could be considered a follow-up to the first book, Jabberwocky, but it also stands on its own just fine. Like Jabberwocky, this is a book about friendship, family and the lengths people will go to for the ones they love.

Wonderland had always been one of my favorite stories. As a kid, I read and watched anything that had to do with the characters or story. The idea of getting the back story of the Hatter and everyone else made me both excited and hesitant. What if I didn't like the back story this author came up with? I'm happy to say I loved it. Hatta as a gentle, kind but slightly mad man was very fitting. While Chism, of course, broke my heart. The roll the Cheshire Cat played was perfectly done. As was the story behind the two queens.
