This novel seems to examine the aging of the child relative to the parent, and by that highlight our preconceived notions about the elderly and the aging process. it also details the friendship between 2 young girls which had blossomed but ow they both grew up and grew apart with different lives. I did get some of the insights, but found some parts way too peachy. There seemsed to be v little of the angst and raw emotions is common in these situations.
