really liked it
bookshelves: history, pulitzer
Read from April 11 to May 15, 2012

I'm glad Meacham didn't try to list every single thing Jackson did in his life, from childhood to adulthood. He hit all the highlights, painting a pretty good picture of Jackson's character, without bogging it down with a bunch of dates that I'll end up forgetting anyway.
