Read from July 15 to 26, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 1

When the Devil Drives = (Media moguls + history + missing person) x Sharp Investigations

Having read the previous book, this one was less of a shock re: Brookmyre's change of style. And knowing the characters already also helped. What wasn't so great was the recaps and repetition from the previous book--some of it direct quotes. Although i understand the point of the recapping, for new readers and people with a poor memory for detail, it just felt like the repetition was holding me back from just getting into the story.

Overall though, i enjoyed this book more than Where the Bodies are Buried, but i think that was due mostly to the subject matter. Theatre > Gangsters and police.

I still miss Parlabane, though.
