After a very promising beginning, the book fell off toward the end. The plot demanded that too many characters be resolved in too little time. I felt a sense of disappointment. The central mystery--the very promise of an ancient chilling curse--was just passed over and neglected. All the elements were in place for a chiller, but the finale was a dud. I wanted so much more!
