This was a pretty good book overall. I felt like the style was strange, the author's tone sounds a little childish in my opinion. It feels like she is trying to lighten up a topic that is a lot heavier. I did enjoy the plot, especially the actual fight, even though the book seemed to drag on before the fighting began. The characters were very unique and well developed. The theme of this book seemed to touch upon how far people are willing to go to preserve order and stay alive. Kids are willing to kill each other in order to survive, and the capital actually makes children fight to the death to preserve order in the world. Overall, this book was very unique and interesting to read, but the authors tone made the book feel a little amateur to me.
