My rating of this book is impartial because it parallels the most influential period of my life. Like Harry I also once became disenchanted with a woman I married and "ran away". I also had an affair but married my "mistress". While Harry used and ultimately turned his back on his mistress I have married and been with my "mistress" for years. I read this book like a diary to what my life might have been like if I were forty years younger and I guess that is why I love it so much. Any man or woman who is in a position like this feels the pain of the young adult who has understood they have made the wrong choice in thier life partner.
