This book was kinda lacking in the way that it is diary entries for one year only. I want to know more when I'm reading a book about somebody, especially if it's about a musician like how they became successful etc. It also didn't really shock me, the way he talked about his addictions and drug use didn't go into much detail and was written in too casual a way. Does not compare to say Slash or Anthony Kiedis' books. What saves it is that Nikki Sixx is obviously a very interesting guy and all the little bits written afterwards by his friends and colleagues that are amusing. Especially the bits written by his ex Vanity who is now an evangelist and completely nutty. It's very interesting reading about how f*cked up these guys lives were who I idolised when I was a kid and thought must have the best lives. Reality was very different.
