This book is a wild thriller. Sharkey Doremino has two things on his mind playing sax and having sex. Bits of his past intertwine with just about every criminal activity known to man going on around him propeling him into a murder mystery or 10. Characters drop like flys and Sharkey gets in deeper and deeper. The book has more twists and turns than your average detective story and it makes for an enjoyable read. For me the most enjoyable part of the book is that there is not to many redeemable characters in the book. They are for the most part a hodgepodge of villians from the Latin world. Drug dealers, murderers, hookers, trafficers in human beings mix with corrupt cops, ex contras and well the list goes on and on. The only advice I'd give to the author is to not bother explaining the meaning of the smattering of Spanish words in the book. It's entirely possible the reader knows all or some of them and if not there's always Google. It doesn't make sense for Sharkey to define words he uses. If you like mayhem with a twist this book is for you.
I received this book as a review copy but received no other compensation to write this review.
