Even though I didn't like baseball, I decided to read it because I've seen the movie, "Field of Dreams." I liked the book, I thought it was clever, but at the same time, I really hated how the author kept bringing in the guy's disdain for religion, and for all those who actually practice it.

I didn't like him as a character.

Moonlight Graham was my favorite.

This is the story of how a guy living in Iowa, on his farm one night, heard a baseball announcer's voice telling him, "If you build it, he will come." So, he builds a baseball field and travels across the country listening to the voice, meeting people he knows he's supposed to meet, and fixing their lives when they come back to Iowa, which is Heaven for him, because he has an enchanted baseball field where Shoeless Joe Jackson and the rest of the Eight play, even though they're dead, a wife and a daughter, a farm, and friends, and his father, who plays on the field.

I love Moonlight Graham.
