Rachel K I liked the first one in this series, but somehow never bothered to continue. Next time I want a light read, I might pick this up.

Jacob I kinda feel this is something I could "never bother to continue." It's not bad, just light and forgettable. I should get back to Christie instead.

Rachel K Yes. The only reason I ever read this sort of thing is that I have read all the Christie several times. I am forever in search of a series or a mystery writer that fills that niche for me, but I haven't found one yet.

Jacob I've only read two by Christie so far, so I have plenty more. Just noticed this series because a friend had read them, and the title of the first caught my attention. I've been trying to read more books by women this year (and in the future, of course), and I wanted a series with a female protagonist to balance out the Flashman series, which I wanted to read sometime this year. I figured my best options were either mystery or urban/paranormal fantasy...and I'd be a bit embarrassed to be seen with urban/paranormal fantasy, with those covers...

So, back to Christie! I should try Miss Marple. Heh, Miss Marple vs. Flashman. That would be a blast.
