Perfect example of why I keep trying the Kindle freebies. You find a gem in the pile.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Kim Harrison's The Hollow series. You have interdimensional travel, elves, other life forms, etc. Maggie is a girl who gets herself into situations but with the help of friends manages to get out of them. There is no romance so I would consider this UF. There is some snarky dialogue and the book is just a fun read.

I won the second one, Maggie Get Your Gun, on Goodreads.
