This book terrorized and teamed up against my psyche. I felt like I was invading the character's personal space, knowing thoughts and actions I should never know. Things one thinks are never written down, to see the written absurdity of a mind is damaging yet freeing. This book made me feel disturbed and put me into an odd hypnosis while existing in the confused and grief stricken mind of David. Once I adjusted to the tone I was convinced I needed to solve the puzzle. Still the puzzle is malignant to me as I feel as though the novel offers no answers except for the trials, joys and perils of love and the lasting treachery of death.
