This is a rather different Stone Barrington novel which might suit some of Stuart Woods' readers better--the ones who say that Stone only hops into bed with any available woman, and hangs out with wealthy people. Large sums of money are involved, but things have changed for Stone. I realized that I was two-thirds of the way through the book, and there hadn't been a murder. Then there was--rather tragic. Not only is Stone's son Peter now 18, but he is about to go off to college. I found this quite readable, but I had become addicted to reading about this character.
