Okay, now I get it.

I've resisted the Nalini lure for awhile. Some of it's been because I've been out of the PNR frame of mind, and some of it is all the world building. But I've been doing a pretty monotonous job and started listening to audio books again.

Wow.

I've been converted.

Yeesh.

Mz. Singh has definitely created an unusual world for her Psy and Changelings. I love how they overlap and wind around each other. This was a very good starter book. Amazing, really. Even the narrative flow was very much a dominant force of this book, I never felt like I was disconnected from the action or the information.

I started the 2nd book already. I'm really looking forward to the Jaguar.
