I wasn't sure how well I was going to like Remembrance when I first started reading it. The story line was good, but Madow had a tendency to get in the way of the story, and while I like some description, she seemed to go over board, particularly in the first chapter. Over describing clothing is something she does continue to do throughout the entire clothing, but the style style becomes more consistent as the book continues.

While there are some periods where Madow feels like she's pushing the story along instead of letting it find its own way, all in all this was a good read. Good enough that I'll read the next book in the series.
