I picked up this book at the library after hearing about it when it was featured on MSN. Ever since I read those teen books set in the spiritualist town of Lily Dale, NY, I think my reading list has managed to include more books like that, but that's okay.

I don't know how much of this book I completely, 100% believe. I think it's certainly possible - even plausible - that some people have an ability to hear messages or see future events; it happens to me sometimes. But with that said, I don't think there's anything wrong with approaching a book like this with a little skepticism.

One thing I really liked about this book is the author's voice. Instead of this being written in chapters, it's filled with questions that she, as a medium, has been frequently asked, and then she gives her answer. Her tone makes for a fun read, and she conveys her points very well. I liked her message of how everything we do has a ripple effect on others we know and even others we don't know and how the best thing in the world that we can do is simply smile. She gave a number of examples here and there from readings she's done, which were interesting to read. However, I do realize that it is possible to just choose examples that support the message one wants to give.

I think the author accomplished what she set out to do with this book, and I enjoyed reading it. A number of things she says are very interesting to think about, such as the ripple effect that I mentioned earlier, as well as the concept of true forgiveness, love, and judgment.
