The Runaway Bunny is such a sweet book. It goes along a journey of a mother trying to convince her little bunny that wherever he might runaway to, she will be right there to love and protect him. This story warms my hear because it displays such a loving view of mother and child. The way this book is illustrated is interesting as well. It is drawn in black in white when the young bunny is talking about his/her adventures but when the mother explains hers, the illustration is in color. I cannot help but theorize that this is because the mother's view is much more loving and likable than the young bunny's attempt to run away.
