really liked it

I don't understand the complaints against this book. I like how much Orenstein bounces back and forth between sides, questioning her biases and asking how damaging gender specific toys really are. The subject matter is swathed in gray, and I think she approaches it appropriately. I was partial to the bits about fairy tales. I know many mothers who are starting to wonder if the new Disney versions aren't a bit too gruesome for their little ones. Fascinating.
