I have read only one other Lisa Scottoline book before this one and I have to say I am now a fan of this author. I enjoyed both books. I liked this book, though not as much as the other Scottoline book I read before. I thought the book featured well developed characters and I thought the book touched on interesting issues. I hesitate to give this book more stars because while I liked this book I didn't love it. It isn't the kind of book where the story or the characters will stick with me. It was an interesting read but also forgettable. The story went along but even some of character confessions that were meant to be most shocking just seemed bland. I found myself questioning the actions of the main character, she didn't seem believable and we don't get enough back story on some of the other characters to actually care what happens to them. I would recommend this book and this author to someone looking for a casual entertaining read but I wouldn't claim it to be a super great read.
