I watched the movie first and liked it and that was my mistake. I found the book told me too much. The prosecutor is his ex-wife. In the movie, you figure that out when he asks about his daughter. In the book, the author says flat-out "she is my ex-wife". I didn't like that. I wanted to figure things out myself given clues - instead the author laid it out too much. Something would happen and he would say this played into my plan. I would rather he show me the execution of the plan than telling me there was one. The book was good and I wish I would have read it first - maybe I wouldn't be bothered so much.
