it was amazing

A story of the election to the presidency and then subsequent assassination of President James Garfield. This book was a good read, and for a history book, very readable. Before I read this book I had no idea about who President Garfield was, other than he was president and was shot. After reading this book I am impressed by the stature of this man and how incredible his life. It is a shame that more is not taught about this man in schools, for his story is one of hard work, courage, and endurance that inspires those who hear it.
