A fascinating biography, very readable. I learnt much I didn't know and got to like Wallis Simpson a little better and decided that the best thing she did was to force Edward VIII off the throne! He was portrayed as a very superficial, selfish individual with little respect for the Royal Family or institution. His brother KIng George, and of course his daughter, Queen Elizabeth, are light years more appropriate for this PR role! This is a book worth reading both as an easy way to brush up on history and as a window into how the incredibly wealthy lived...
