I received this book free through Goodreads First Reads.I have not read any Amish books so was very happy to have this opportunity.I was pleasantly surprised to see the Pennsylvania Dutch Glossary at the beginning of the book. I enjoyed the fact that the author brought Christian and Amish aspects together which gave a nice blend to the story, including the interaction of the angels with the characters in the book. The author depicts the simple life where "material things" are not important. She shows the characters in the story as having great strength in the face of diversity. The love in this family binds them together as they find each other in renewed love, hope, and forgiveness. I will recommend this book to my friends! I am also interested in reading more Heaven on Earth Novels.
