it was ok
bookshelves: novel
Read from April 09 to 10, 2012

The setting didn't feel too authentic. I loved the religion and singing part, but it just popped up out of nowhere at the very end of the book. In that place and time, religion would certainly have come up sooner and people would have tried to heal Icy's tics and jerks with prayer. Her character is more authentic, but not terribly likeable due to being a somewhat bratty, very self-centered teenager.
