it was amazing

Plot summary: Diary of a Worm is a humorous fantasy children’s picture book which begins by showing a worm’s scrapbook (the family’s vacation to Compost Island , the first day of worm school, and many others). The diary is dated March through August . It tells of teaching spiders how to dig (unsuccessfully), avoiding being stepped on, sneaking up on human girls and scaring them, and dreams of becoming a secret service agent for the president. This is a silly book that young children would love.
#1 A great activity would be to compare and contrast things that could actually happen in the story. Could a worm become a secret service agent? No, but think of the fun the children would have deciding which of these events could happen.
#2 A fabulous science project would be to buy (or dig up) worms and keep them as class pets. The children would be fascinated and would learn about the living habits of worms.
