it was amazing

One of my favorite books ever! Tolstoy juxtaposes the unhappy family with the happy family. Each character offers a reminder of the power we have to create our own misery or happiness. Tolstoy sets this up immediately with the infamous first sentence of this novel: "All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." (For the record, I loved this book well before Oprah even had a book club.)
