Kelle Hampton is a blogger/photographer/mother in Florida and a Down Syndrome advocate. Her memoir is a beautiful account of the birth and first year of life of her youngest daughter, Nella Cordelia, who was born with DS. Hampton recounts her journey from pain and disbelief to personal growth, acceptance, and joy of her new daughter and family.

I follow Hampton's blog (Enjoying the Small Things), and am familiar with some of her stories. I still enjoyed having everything compiled into a complete narrative accompanied by several of her beautiful photographs. As with all of her writing, I am always inspired to see the beauty in life and to strive for growth as an individual, parent, and friend. I loved this book!
