Yet another lovely book in this series. The time is now moving towards WWII. I enjoy the period information (if you like Downton Abbey, you'll like these books) and the plot is always interesting.

I think Maisie's romantic uncertainty is partially because it must have been very difficult to be an independent woman in those times,plus the change in her economic circumstances.
