did not like it

Seriously, what's this supposed to be? I love a good anti-novel as much as the next pretentious hipster, but don't just slap together a bunch of stuff and then bore me to death with it.

Melanie Page I have this fear that men can't understand this book. In what way, on any level, would it relate to you?

message 2: by Calvin (new)

Calvin Campbell Seems that a fair number of women can't relate to it, either. What's their excuse?

Melanie Page I honestly can't remember why I wrote that comment. I didn't like the book and have since read that it really relates to people from a different generation; they actually remember the punk culture that is written about in the book.

Then again, it is one of those ultimate women's novels that discusses problems that are, for the most part, applicable only to women. Maybe that's what I meant?
