I'll give this book one thing for sure, it's gripping. I pretty much sat down and read it straight through. Some of the characters struck me as a little stereotyped. The main character especially, but I suppose it was necessary given how the book is structured (which I'm not going to talk about in case you want to read it, this kind of book is no fun to read if you know everything). That being said, Ruff has a wild imagination. Even with the characterization issue it's still a good time to ride along with him for the length of the novel. I didn't quite like the ending, but I think that is more personal aesthetics than any problem with the book. I'm not usually much for thrillers, but this was a good paced crazy romp.
