This book was wordy. I know, all books are wordy. What do I mean by that? Let's flip to a random page. Page 202.

"the ineffable ties that bind them and engender a force, a secret and inexplicable wave born of both the tension and the balance of the configuration-- this is what inspires the feeling of consonance"

325 pages of this. Wordy.

Some of the wording was lovely, and some of the detail I appreciated. But it also meant that the plot, characters, and philosophical points (which I liked) developed incredibly slowly.

I was satisfied with this book in the end, but left wondering why it had taken so long to get there.
