Excellent murder mystery from the master her self. A wealthy, widowed man is found murdered because of a tip recieved by the local doctor. The police are baffled but suspect the man's stepson, who is to inherit the fortune. but the stepson cannot be found anywhere. unfortunatly for the murderer, Hercule Peroit, the famous private eye from Belguin has just retired to this little town and has taken an interest in the case and makes the good doctor his sidekick. off they go to solve the crime, with all sorts of characters and side stories getting in thier way. Christie writes straight forward in language that people would really use and its a short read. She leaves all the clews (as spelled by Christie)for you to figure it out. good luck.
